Will my L&P adjustable bed base work with any mattress?

Yes. L&P adjustable bed bases are compatible with most innerspring, foam, and air mattresses. Regardless of which you find most comfortable, you can enjoy the restorative relaxation offered by an adjustable bed base. (It is important to note that mattresses with a border wire are not compatible with adjustable bases).

Can I use an L&P adjustable base with my existing bedroom furniture?

Yes, you can! Leggett & Platt adjustable bases are designed according to industry-standard bed sizes. The base easily attaches to most standard-size headboards. Even if your bed has side rails, the base is meant to fit inside most of these pieces, similar to a standard box spring. You don't need a bed frame because the legs support the weight of the adjustable bed. If you want to install this inside your existing bed frame, you’ll need to check that all slats, cross members, braces, center legs, etc can be removed to allow the adjustable base to sit inside your bed frame.

The newest models have a special zero clearance feature - this means you can place your adjustable base directly on top of your platform bed by simply removing the included legs!

Will I still need a box spring?

Nope! A Leggett & Platt adjustable bed base takes the place of your box spring. You place your mattress directly on top of the base. If you have a bed with side rails, the base fits inside most bed frames and then the mattress fits on top.

Delivery

We ship to 49 states (excluding Alaska). The Adjustable Bed Store will process and ship purchased items to fulfill your order as soon as possible. We will provide you with a tracking number once your order has been processed and dispatched.

If you have selected FREE Curbside Delivery with your adjustable base, you will receive a confirmation email followed by a second email with a tracking number once your bed has shipped.

If you have selected White Glove Delivery Service with your adjustable base, you will receive a confirmation email followed by a phone call from to schedule a delivery time that is convenient for you. Please be sure to include your phone number at check out. You will also receive an email with a tracking number once your bed has shipped. This service is available for an additional charge and includes the complete set up and installation of your adjustable base.
